Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta
Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta brings the comunity together to build strength, stability and independence for families through affordable home ownership. Home ownership builds long-term stability and independence for families, while offering lasting, tangible benefits to our entire community.
Habitat homeowners build their own homes alongside experienced staff and volunteers, and purchase their homes with a no down-payment, no-interest mortgage, giving them financial stability to build better futures. Their monthly mortgage payments are used to build more homes for more families, creating a cycle of paying-it-forward.
Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta was established in 1990 and serves the communities of Airdrie-Crossfield, Brooks, Calgary, Drumheller, M.D. of Foothills, Medicine Hat and Mountain View County. To date, we have partnered with more than 250 families.
CANADIAN LEGACY PROJECT
The Canadian Legacy Project was created because many of our Canadian veterans are living in poverty and do not have the basic necessities in food, clothing and shelter. The Canadian Legacy Project was developed to be an organization that advocates for our veterans and support them by creating programs and events to help improve their everyday lives.
The Canadian Legacy Project is a registered charity working throughout Canada (registration #82478 8202 RR0001) and is 100% volunteer managed and directed. We do not have traditional expenses many charity groups have, which ensures that the donations made towards the Canadian Legacy Project go directly to supporting our veterans.
